A scientist’s judgment for your research questions.
I’m a molecular geneticist and computational biologist with more than three decades in pharmaceutical and biotech research. I help organizations frame the right scientific questions, analyze and interpret complex biological data, and reach conclusions they can defend. I use AI, software tools and scientific databases in service of the science, not the other way around.
Science first. Tools in service of the question.
Good research starts with the right question and ends with an interpretation you can trust. In between are data, databases, analytical methods and, more and more, AI. Those tools are powerful, but they don’t know which question matters, or when a result doesn’t make biological sense.
That’s the value I bring. I apply a scientist’s training in experimental design and critical analysis to your goals. I use AI, bioinformatics tools and public and proprietary databases to move your research forward, checking at every step that the answers hold up.
“AI may have a billion pieces of data at its disposal, but it does not have experience.”
Scientific expertise, applied to your goals
Each engagement starts from your research question and ends with a clear, evidence-based recommendation.
Scientific Due Diligence
An expert assessment of the science behind a program, platform or company: whether the claims are supported by the data, and what the key scientific risks are.
Focused projectAI Scientific Validation
A scientist’s review of AI-generated analyses and conclusions: are they biologically sound, where do they go wrong, and what still needs expert judgment?

A scientist who speaks the language of data.
I trained as a molecular geneticist and have spent my career applying analytical and computational methods to biological questions. That work spans postdoctoral research at DuPont and NIH, leading bioinformatics at Warner Lambert and Sanofi, global responsibility for computational biology at Schering Geigy, and sixteen years running my own drug-discovery research company.
- Scientific authority. Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics; NIH and DuPont postdoctoral research; peer-reviewed work in genomics, proteomics, HIV genetics and drug discovery.
- Analytical depth. Experimental and study design, sequence and genomic analysis, expression and proteomic data, genetic analysis of clinical cohorts, and computational drug discovery.
- Pharma research leadership. Head of Bioinformatics at Warner Lambert and Sanofi; VP at Schering Geigy with global responsibility for bioinformatics and computational biology.
- Funded by NIH. I wrote grant proposals that won significant NIH funding, including Phase I and Phase II SBIR awards for drug-discovery research.
- AI as a research tool. I use current AI tools in my work and check their output against scientific reality, so you get the speed without the errors.
